Octave Co., Ltd. (hereinafter the "Company") protects users' location information pursuant to the Act on the Protection, Use, Etc. of Location Information, and provides notice of matters relating to the use of location-based services as set forth below.
Article 1 (Purpose)
- These Terms set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the Company and users in connection with the location-based services provided by the Company.
Article 2 (Content of Location-Based Services)
- The Company uses users' location information to provide the following services:
- Discovery and recommendation of nearby members
- Distance-based display of members
- Location-based matching services
- Other services utilizing location information
- The Company may change or add to the content of its location-based services as the Service is improved.
Article 3 (Use of Location Information)
- The Company collects and uses location information only where the user has consented.
- Collected location information is used only for the following purposes:
- Recommending members near the user
- Discovering members sorted by distance
- Providing and improving the quality of location-based services
- The Company does not use location information for any purpose beyond those stated above.
Article 4 (Retention and Use Period of Personal Location Information)
- The Company uses location information only for the period necessary to provide the Service.
- Where a member stops sharing location or withdraws membership, the Company destroys the member's personal location information without delay.
- However, where retention is required by applicable law, the information is retained for the period prescribed by such law.
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Location Information to Third Parties)
- The Company entrusts part of its location information processing operations to the following external specialized provider in order to ensure smooth provision of the Service.

- The Company stipulates in its outsourcing agreements the matters necessary to ensure that personal information is processed securely in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act and related laws, and provides ongoing oversight and supervision.
Article 6 (Consent to and Withdrawal of Collection of Location Information)
- Users may withdraw their consent to the use of location information at any time.
- If a user refuses to allow the use of location information or withdraws consent, certain services, such as location-based recommendations and nearby member discovery, may be restricted.
Article 7 (Rights of Users)
- Users may request the following at any time:
- Confirmation of the status of location information use
- Withdrawal of consent to the use of location information
- Deletion of location information
- The Company guarantees users' rights in accordance with applicable law.
Article 8 (Responsibilities of the Company)
- The Company complies with the Act on the Protection, Use, Etc. of Location Information and other applicable laws, and manages users' location information securely.
Article 9 (Compensation for Damages)
- Where the Company causes damage to a user in violation of applicable law, the Company shall bear liability in accordance with such law.
Article 10 (Governing Law, Dispute Resolution, and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- In the event of any dispute between the Company and a user arising from the use of location information, the parties shall first endeavor to resolve such dispute amicably through mutual consultation.
- If the dispute cannot be resolved through consultation, either party may file a claim with the competent court pursuant to the Civil Procedure Act of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Western District Court, which has jurisdiction over the location of the Company's principal place of business in Mapo-gu, Seoul, shall be the court of agreed jurisdiction.

Article 12 (Amendment of Terms)
- The Company may amend these Terms where applicable law changes or where necessary for the operation of the Service.
- Where these Terms are amended, the Company will provide advance notice of the effective date and the content of the amendment through in-app announcements or similar means.
