1. Core Principle
PL4Y (com.pl4y.matching.pl4y) treats the safety of children and minors as its highest priority. octave Ltd., the developer and operator of this application, expressly prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and does not tolerate child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form anywhere on the Service.
These Child Safety Standards are published in accordance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and form an integral part of the PL4Y Terms of Service, carrying the same force and effect.
2. Applicable Laws and Policies
The Company complies with the following laws and policies:
- The Child Welfare Act (Republic of Korea)
- The Act on the Protection of Children and Youth against Sexual Abuse (Republic of Korea)
- The Juvenile Protection Act (Republic of Korea)
- The Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (Republic of Korea)
- Applicable U.S. federal child protection and reporting laws, including the reporting obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A
- Google Play's Child Safety Standards Policy and Developer Program Policies
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
- Creating, posting, transmitting, requesting, or distributing any content that constitutes CSAE or otherwise contravenes child safety regulations
- Content that includes the image or likeness of a minor
- Content that depicts or implies a minor engaged in sexual conduct
- Posts or conversations that describe, reference, or treat a minor as an object of sexual interest
- Any attempt to contact, solicit, lure, or groom a minor
- Implying or stating that oneself or another party is a minor, or misrepresenting one's age
4. Preventive Measures
- Adult verification: To prevent children and minors from accessing the Service, only adults aged 18 years or older may use it, and age is rigorously verified through identity authentication upon registration. If a member is found to be under 18, the account is deleted immediately and the associated information is destroyed.
- Systematic monitoring: The Company systematically monitors and filters for CSAE (child sexual abuse and exploitation conduct) and CSAM (child sexual abuse material).
- Keyword blocking: The Company blocks harmful content immediately upon submission through prohibited-keyword policies and continuous monitoring.
- In-app reporting: Reporting functions are available on every profile, post, and chat, and reports relating to child safety are reviewed with the highest priority.
5. Enforcement and Reporting
- Any member who violates these Standards is subject to the highest level of enforcement, including immediate and permanent suspension without prior notice.
- The Company strictly complies with all applicable laws and policies and, upon discovering any violation, immediately reports it to local and national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and preserves and provides the relevant records.
- Child safety violations may be reported to our child safety contact at us-help@pl4y.app, junhyuck@octaveconnect.com, or hello@octaveconnect.com, or via the in-app reporting function.
- If there is an immediate risk to a child's life or safety, please contact your local emergency services without delay. In the United States, reports may also be submitted to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
