1. Overview

• These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") set forth the conditions governing the use of the PL4Y service (hereinafter "Service"). PL4Y provides various services through the pl4y.co.kr website, the PL4Y mobile application, and other platforms or services.
• Please read these Terms carefully before using the PL4Y Service. By accessing or using the PL4Y Service, all users are deemed to agree to comply with these Terms, including our Privacy Policy and applicable guidelines.
• If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the PL4Y Service. If you do not wish to be bound by this Agreement, do not access or use our Service.
• PL4Y may amend these Terms to improve the Service. In the event of any amendment, PL4Y shall notify users of the changes and the effective date through in-app announcements or push notifications no less than seven (7) days prior to the effective date. However, if the amendment is materially adverse to users, PL4Y shall provide no less than thirty (30) days' advance notice, clearly comparing the content before and after the change.
• If you do not agree to the amended Terms, you may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw your membership. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the amendment shall be deemed acceptance of the amended Terms.
• You must promptly update any changes to the personal information you provided upon registration. PL4Y shall not be liable for any damages arising from your failure to update such information in a timely manner.
• PL4Y may add, remove, or otherwise modify the categories of member information and other data it collects and uses, in accordance with applicable laws and PL4Y's Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility and Member Obligations

• The PL4Y Service is available only to adults aged 18 years or older. Individuals under the age of 18 may not register for or use the Service; age verification is performed through identity authentication upon registration. If a member is found to be under 18, PL4Y will immediately delete the relevant account and destroy all associated personal information.
• You shall not engage in any of the following conduct:
  • Registering false information during membership registration or when updating member information
  • Impersonating or misappropriating another person's identity
  • Using another member's account
  • Soliciting monetary transactions or personal information from other members or third parties
  • Obtaining or disclosing another member's password or personal information
  • Disseminating false information or engaging in fraudulent conduct
  • Violating the License Terms
  • Violating the Prohibited Content Policy, including any content that contravenes CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation) or child safety regulations
  • Expressing personal religious beliefs in a manner that denigrates the religion of others
  • Submitting false reports of member conduct or content, or abusing the reporting or inquiry functions
  • Harassing, using offensive or abusive language toward, threatening, or defaming PL4Y, other members, or any third party
  • Impersonating PL4Y's operators, executives, employees, or the Company itself
  • Representing or implying that PL4Y has endorsed or guaranteed any member's statements or information
  • Disrupting or damaging the Service or interfering with other users' use of the Service
  • Modifying, adapting, altering, reverse-engineering, re-licensing, or reselling any portion of the Service
  • Using our Service for harmful, unlawful, or malicious purposes
  • Copying, modifying, transmitting, distributing, or creating derivative works from member content, PL4Y content, or any copyrighted materials, images, trademarks, trade names, or other intellectual property accessible through our Service
  • Distributing malware or data that compromises the security of our Service
  • Misappropriating or mirroring any part of our Service
  • Impersonating our Service to direct someone to another platform
  • Encouraging, facilitating, or agreeing to participate in any activity that violates these Terms
• You are solely responsible for your content. Do not share content that you would not want others to see, that violates this Agreement, or that could expose you or PL4Y to legal liability.
• You shall not violate the following Prohibited Content Policy by posting content that:
  • Is offensive, harassing, abusive, or causes emotional distress to others
  • Is obscene, pornographic, violent, or contains excessive nudity
  • Is insulting, threatening, discriminatory, or promotes or encourages racism, sexism, hatred, or prejudice
  • Promotes or facilitates any unlawful activity, including but not limited to terrorism, incitement to racial hatred, or conduct constituting a criminal offense
  • Is defamatory, libelous, or false
  • Relates to activities unrelated to the intended use of our Service, including solicitation, commercial promotion and advertising, sex work, or links to accounts or open chats on other platforms
  • Contains publicly disclosed personal contact, banking, or payment information of you or others
  • Involves or facilitates spamming
  • Contains spyware, adware, viruses, corrupted files, or other malicious code designed to disrupt, damage, or limit the functionality of software, hardware, communications, networks, servers, or other equipment; or trojan horses or other harmful elements designed to damage, interfere with, or unlawfully intercept or expropriate PL4Y's data or members' personal information
  • Infringes the rights of third parties, including but not limited to intellectual property rights and privacy rights
  • Contains images or likenesses of other individuals
  • Contains images or likenesses of minors, or depicts or implies minors engaging in sexual conduct
  • Is inconsistent with the intended use of our Service
  • May harm PL4Y's reputation
• While disclosure of some personal information is necessary to use this Service, if you choose to disclose personal information to other users, you do so at your own risk. You must be fully aware of the risks involved in sharing personal information online and take all appropriate precautions for your safety.
• PL4Y does not tolerate inappropriate content or unlawful conduct, whether on or off the Service. We encourage you to report inappropriate member content or unlawful conduct by other users, either through the report function on a user's profile or within the chat interface, or by contacting customer support.
• In the event that you violate these Terms or applicable laws, PL4Y may retain your account credentials and member information even after account suspension or withdrawal in order to protect other members and to use such information as evidentiary material in response to requests from courts, investigative authorities, or relevant agencies. You shall bear all civil and criminal liability arising from infringement of PL4Y's or any third party's intellectual property rights, including copyrights, by your content or works.
• You shall not violate the following License Terms:
  • You retain the copyright to the content you upload to our Service, and you grant PL4Y a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, use, copy, modify (including technical alterations such as reformatting), display, and distribute such content to the extent necessary for the operation, improvement, and promotion of the Service.
  • The foregoing license terminates when you delete the relevant content or withdraw your membership, except where retention is required by law or to the extent necessary for other members' normal use of the Service (e.g., chat records exchanged with other members).
  • PL4Y may prevent other users or third parties from using your content obtained from the Service in a manner that infringes your rights. This means PL4Y may take legal or other appropriate action on your behalf. However, please note that PL4Y cannot guarantee the complete prevention of unauthorized use of your content by others.
  • PL4Y, its affiliates, and third-party partners may place advertisements within our Service, which may be related to your content. PL4Y may derive advertising revenue, which is used to operate and maintain the Service. In other words, please be aware that by using the PL4Y Service you will see advertisements, and such advertisements are likely to be related to your interests.
  • Any feedback or suggestions you submit in connection with the PL4Y Service may be used and shared by PL4Y for any purpose without compensation to you. In other words, please be aware that PL4Y may use your feedback to improve the Service or for other purposes, and you may not receive any compensation for it.
• All rights to access our Service are automatically revoked if you fail to comply with these Terms.

3. Subscriptions, Payments, Refunds, and Cancellations

• The Company offers an auto-renewing subscription product, "PL4Y Plus" (and any successor or similarly named premium subscription tier), which is billed on a recurring monthly basis.
• All purchases of PL4Y Plus and any other paid services are processed exclusively through the in-app purchase system of the app store from which you downloaded the Service (the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store), and payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account, as applicable.
• Your subscription automatically renews for the same length and at the same price as the original subscription period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least twenty-four (24) hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within twenty-four (24) hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You may manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time through your Apple ID account settings or the Google Play Store subscriptions page, as applicable. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
• Because all payments are processed by Apple or Google, all billing inquiries, cancellations, and refund requests for PL4Y Plus and other in-app purchases must be submitted directly to Apple (via reportaproblem.apple.com or Apple Support) or to Google Play (via Google Play's help center), in accordance with their respective terms and refund policies. The Company does not process payments directly, does not hold your payment information, and has no ability to authorize or issue refunds on Apple's or Google's behalf.
• If you obtain a refund through improper means (including chargeback abuse for services that have already been used), the Company may restrict or suspend your account.

4. Content Rights and Responsibilities

• You retain all rights to and bear full responsibility for all content you upload to our Service.
• You are solely responsible for your content, and accordingly you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PL4Y from and against all claims arising in connection with your content.
• Content included in your personal profile must be relevant to the intended use of our Service. You may not upload Prohibited Content or content that violates our guidelines.
• PL4Y may monitor and manage content created by other members, but assumes no responsibility for such content. PL4Y does not represent or warrant the reliability, truthfulness, or accuracy of content posted by members.
• PL4Y may monitor or review your content and may, at its sole discretion, remove, delete, edit, restrict, block, or prevent access to your content at any time.

5. Limitation of Liability

• PL4Y does not warrant the completeness or stability of the Service and shall not be liable for any issues arising in the course of using the Service.
• PL4Y makes no representations or warranties regarding the following:
  • Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service
  • Detection or correction of defects or errors in the Service
  • Accuracy, completeness, currency, or suitability of content or information provided through the Service
  • The number of active users at any given time
  • The likelihood of communication or meetings with other users
  • The ultimate compatibility or conduct of users you meet through the Service
• Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through our Service is accessed at your own discretion and risk. PL4Y shall not be liable for any damage arising in the course of downloading.
• PL4Y shall not be liable for damages arising from any of the following:
  • Security breaches or viruses, bugs, tampering, hacking, fraud, errors, omissions, interruptions, defects, operational or transmission delays
  • Computer line or network failures
  • Other technical or non-technical interference or malfunctions
• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PL4Y shall not be liable for:
  • Indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special, punitive, fixed, or aggravated damages
  • Damages arising from access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service
  • Damages arising from the conduct or content of users or third parties on, through, or in connection with the Service
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to, use of, or alteration of your content
• PL4Y's maximum aggregate liability for all claims related to the use of the Service shall be KRW 100,000. If the amount you have paid to PL4Y in the preceding twenty-four (24) months exceeds KRW 100,000, the maximum liability shall be set at the amount actually paid. Notwithstanding the foregoing, damages arising from PL4Y's willful misconduct or gross negligence, and damages to a user's life or bodily integrity, shall not be subject to the foregoing limitation and shall be governed by applicable law. The foregoing limitation of liability applies to all events, services, and this Agreement related to the use of our Service, regardless of the basis of liability, including breach of contract, tort, violation of law, or breach of duty.

6. Advertising

• Our Service may include advertisements, promotions, website links, virtual items, and other content provided by various third parties. Please note the following when interacting with such third parties.
• PL4Y may contain links to external websites or information. PL4Y assumes no responsibility for the availability, content, or security of external websites or information. PL4Y shall not be liable for any losses or damages arising from goods or services provided on external websites or information, and does not warrant the safety or reliability thereof.
• If you choose to interact with a third party made available through our Service, the terms and conditions of that third party shall apply. PL4Y shall not be liable for any issues arising from such interactions. Responsibility for the terms or conduct of third parties rests solely with the user, and PL4Y shall bear no legal liability whatsoever.

7. Agreement and Consent

• By using our Service, you agree to the following:
  • Terms of Service: PL4Y may modify these Terms from time to time, and you shall be bound by the most current version.
  • Privacy Policy: PL4Y collects, uses, and processes your personal information. You must review and consent to the Privacy Policy.
  • Cookie Policy: PL4Y uses cookies to enhance user experience. You must review and consent to the Cookie Policy.
• This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and PL4Y with respect to the use of the PL4Y Service.
• This Agreement supersedes all prior agreements, representations, and undertakings between the parties, whether in writing or oral. PL4Y's failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
• You may not transfer your PL4Y account. Upon your death, your rights to your PL4Y account and its content shall terminate. All rights and licenses granted under this Agreement may not be transferred or assigned by you but may be assigned by PL4Y without restriction.
• This Agreement does not create any agency, partnership, joint venture, trust, or any other special relationship or employment. You may not represent or bind PL4Y in any manner.

8. Personal Information and Automatically Collected Data

• In the course of providing the Service, ensuring security, and analyzing usage statistics, the following information may be automatically collected:
  • IP Address: Automatically collected upon access to the Service. Used to block unauthorized access and for security purposes; retained for three (3) months pursuant to the Protection of Communications Secrets Act.
  • Device Information: Device ID, operating system type and version, application version, device identifier, etc.
  • Service Usage Logs: Date and time of access, records of features used, error logs, etc.
  • Cookies: Information for maintaining sessions and providing service convenience (see Section 9).
• Further details regarding the purpose of collection, retention period, and method of destruction of the above information may be found in the Privacy Policy.
• IP addresses are not used to directly identify individuals; however, they may be disclosed to courts or investigative authorities pursuant to lawful requests and applicable laws.
• The legal basis for the collection of automatically gathered information is Article 15, Paragraph 1, Item 6 of the Personal Information Protection Act (legitimate interest).

9. Cookie Policy

• PL4Y uses cookies to enhance the user experience of its website and application services. Cookies are small data files stored by the Service's server on your browser or device.
• Cookies are used for the following purposes:
  • Maintaining login sessions
  • Analyzing Service usage and improving the Service
  • Delivering personalized content and advertisements
• You may refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. However, doing so may restrict certain Service features, such as maintaining your login session.
• For further details regarding the use of cookies and configuration instructions, please refer to Section 11 of the Privacy Policy.

10. Receipt and Opt-Out of Promotional Communications

• PL4Y does not transmit commercial promotional communications without your prior consent, pursuant to Article 50 of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection.
• Even if you have consented to receive promotional communications, you may opt out at any time through the following methods:
  • Within the app: Settings → Notification Settings → Disable Marketing Consent
  • By submitting an opt-out request to our customer support email at us-help@pl4y.app
• Even if you opt out of promotional communications, mandatory service notices, transaction-related information, and responses to customer inquiries may continue to be sent.
• PL4Y will notify you of the outcome of your opt-out request within ten (10) days of the date of your request.

11. Suspension and Termination of Service

• PL4Y may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the Service.
• In the event of permanent termination of the Service, PL4Y will provide advance notice no less than thirty (30) days prior to the termination date via in-app announcements or push notifications.
• Users with remaining paid services shall receive a refund corresponding to the unused portion of their subscription as of the termination date. The refund criteria and procedures will be communicated through a separate notice.
• In the event of unavoidable circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, statutory obligations, emergency security measures), the Service may be suspended without prior notice, in which case PL4Y will announce the reason without delay after the fact.

12. Service Restrictions and Appeals

• If you violate these Terms, the Company may impose the following restrictions:
  • Restriction of account privileges: restricting certain account privileges, such as posting and chatting, for a fixed period or permanently
  • Account restriction: restricting the use of your account for a fixed period or permanently
  • User restriction: restricting your use of the Service for a fixed period or permanently (a permanent restriction is operated in the form of restricting re-registration and use for up to five (5) years)
• The Company determines the level of the restriction in consideration of all relevant circumstances, including the nature, severity, frequency, and consequences of the violation. When imposing a restriction, the Company will, in principle, notify the user of the reason and the appeal procedure. However, where urgent action is required (e.g., where the conduct seriously infringes the rights of others or threatens the stability of the Service), notice may be given after the fact.
• If you circumvent a restriction or other sanction by re-registering, or by creating or using a new account, the Company may take necessary sanctions against such account.
• If you wish to contest a restriction imposed by the Company, you must submit a written appeal stating the grounds for your objection to the Company (via the in-app inquiry function or us-help@pl4y.app) within seven (7) days of receiving notice of the restriction. The Company will respond to the grounds of the appeal within fifteen (15) days of receipt.
• Where the Company imposes a permanent suspension due to a serious violation of these Terms, use of the Service is restricted immediately; however, the relevant personal information will not be destroyed during the appeal period (seven (7) days from the date of the restriction). If the appeal period expires or the appeal is rejected, the account will be subject to forced withdrawal, and the relevant personal information will be destroyed thirty (30) days after the end of the appeal period, in accordance with the retention periods and destruction procedures set forth in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
• In the event of any dispute between PL4Y and a user arising from the use of the Service, the parties shall first endeavor to resolve such dispute amicably through mutual consultation.
• If the dispute cannot be resolved through consultation, either party may file a claim with the competent court pursuant to the Civil Procedure Act. The Seoul Western District Court, which has jurisdiction over the location of PL4Y's principal place of business in Mapo-gu, Seoul, shall be the court of agreed jurisdiction.
